Cortland - Fly Line - Speciality Series - Compact Sink Type 9

The Cortland Compact Sink Type 9 is designed to deliver streamers quickly into deep water while maintaining stability, control, and precision throughout the entire retrieve, the 8.5-meter Type 9 head sinks at 8–9 inches per second, ensuring fast access to the strike zone in deep structures while the intermediate running line provides a smooth, hinge-free transition that keeps the system controlled during every phase of the cast.

The aggressive taper design with a short 1-meter front taper and 60-centimeter back taper turns over large, air-resistant flies effortlessly even in windy conditions, the compact profile loads the rod instantly with minimal false casts and maximizes distance and penetration when fishing heavy streamers, the dual-color black and light blue finish highlights the taper transition and clearly identifies the optimal loading point.

The low-stretch braided nylon core delivers powerful hook sets and superior stopping authority, essential when targeting predators like pike, musky, stripers, trout, and bass in deep water, Cortland’s signature Shooting Technology keeps the line slick, supple, and fast-shooting all season long for enhanced durability, consistency, and peak performance in all temperature ranges.
